Helen grew up riding in England from the age of 7 and became active in Pony Club, Fox Hunting, Eventing and Showing. She studied, Personnel Management at Sunderland University before changing careers and earned her UK Coaching Certificate and Horse Management Diploma through Qualifications GB after attending classes at Houghall Agricultural College and The Open College of Equine Studies.
Holding positions such as; Head of Equestrian for HH Shk Hamad Bin Ali Al Thani of Al Shaqab Stud, Qatar, Equestrian Director for the Leslie family of Castle Leslie Estate, Ireland and Equine Consultant for the Doha Asian Games, Helen can boast both business and practical management expertise with the highest standards.
During her career, she has worked extensively with a wide range of horses including youngsters and stallions. She has competed in many disciplines and enjoyed fox hunting in England, Ireland and the USA. To further compound her knowledge and skills, Helen continues to work with international trainers. She strives to empower riders with a lateral thinking, coaching style of her own and works hard to produce sound, supple horse athletes through correctly measured and sympathetic training methods.
Now settled in New England, Helen focuses on training horse and rider in Jumping and Dressage. She is member of Myopia Hunt Club with a passion for Cross Country Jumping. As District Commissioner for Pentucket Pony Club, Helen promotes safe equestrian sport, high standards of horse care and educates the next generation of riders.
